See your physician: 48 year old lady with right shoulder pain of 2 weeks duration. You should absolutely get a physical exam with a physician. What part of your shoulder has the pain? How long does the pain last? Does the pain radiate anywhere? Have you tried resting your shoulder and using ice on the painful area? NSAIDs? Were you doing yoga before it happened? History of shoulder separation? Rotator cuff?

Shoulder pain: Sleeping on ones shoulder can intermitantly cause pain in most people without cause for concern .Try some ice , avoid position or movements of the arm which causes pain, NSAIDs gentle stretching. Avoid resistive or overhead arm reaching for a few weeks. If things don't improve then seek an evaluation.
