2-8 months: Untreated brain metastases patient's survival estimate is may be 2 months. If tumors are small and numbers less than 4 and patients' clinical condition good, attempts should be made to remove all of the metastases, followed by whole brain radiotherapy. This is the only chance of better survival. Radiotherapy is the must. Certain metastatic brain tumor may respond to systemic chemotherapy .

Borrowed time: Chemotherapy has improved, but that is still a bad situation. Everyone is different, but even the newest drugs only talk about extending life, usually for a few months.
