Doctor can evaluate: New throat symptoms, along with nausea, can be from strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or mild flu (antibiotics are not used), or other causes such as other viral infections or stomach reflux. Usually, a person sees the doctor if her symptoms are bothersome, recurrent, or don't go away in a day or two. Significant tummy pains should be examined, to make sure it's not serious.
