Followup: I would certainly arrange for a followup appointment. In the same injury in which you dislocated your shoulder, you could have potentially torn your rotator cuff or injured your axillary nerve.

Ortho evaluation now: You may have a concomitant issue involving the rotator cuff region of your shoulder. the incidence of rotator cuff injuries in conjunction with shoulder dislocations is know to increase in the fifth decade. A thorough examination and appropriate imaging (X-rays and MRI) is likely indicated.

Post shoulder disloc: You need to be seen by a shoulder specialist. You may have a stretched nerve as a consequence of the injury, although many of those nerve injuries r temporary u need to be checked and monitored.
