Anti-inflammatories.: Granted, with a true lupus flare we generally require prescription-strength steroids to control the raging inflammation, but for now you can try OTC anti-inflammatories such as Ibuprofen or Naproxen. As well, a warm bath may help soothe some of the pain. If specific joints hurt, K you can also try Capsaicin cream to the skin of those joints.
