Possibly: a clot in the vein. This is an unusual and benign condition called Mondor's disease. Best to see your doctor for an evaluation and possibly ultrasound. If you have this problem it resolves on its own but can be quite painful before it resolves. The evaluation is also needed as other issues, such as underlying infection, need to be considered.

Breast veins.: Breast veins can become tender for many reasons including irritation and inflammation. Sometimes even a small clot can form in a breast vein. Usually local care including wet heat to the area, ibuprofen and a support bra will help. You should see a vein specialist for an evaluation if symptoms do not improve.
