A member asked:

How often should i get my pap test as i have hpv16? every 3 months or 6? will lesions form so quickly between tests?? and what triggers them to form?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yearly: Unless your doctor advised otherwise, based on the results of the latest PAP smear, getting tested once a year is sufficient. Generally it takes a few years for the lesions to turn into cancer.
