Close followup...: Elevated blood pressure in pregnancy can be a sign of pre-eclampsia. This can be a serious problem in pregnancy and lead to seizures. Your doctor may ask you to collect your urine for 24 hours to see if the protein level in your urine is elevated as this can give an idea of the severity of the pre-eclampsia. If you have pre-eclampsia, the baby may need to deliver early. Best wishes!
