Cough: Cough is usually caused by an infection and starts acutely. Cough usually lasts a <3 weeks. Studies show chronic cough is caused by postinfectious bronchial inflammation ,post nasal drip (PND), GERD or asthma around 65-90% of the time. PND most common dx. Tuberculosis can be a concern. If you tried antihistamine and decongestant to treat PND and lasts >2 more weeks see your doctor.
