A member asked:

If you are in the very early stages, 2-3 weeks, of pregnancy and you take a hard fall on your stomach, is that going to be harmful to the fetus?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: No worries. That means women who play sports can still enjoy their sports. Realize that nobody knows she is pregnant at the time she is 2-3 weeks pregnant. There is no baby fetus yet. Ovulation happens at 2-weeks-pregnant. Implantation of an embryo (size of a dot on the screen) is at about 3-weeks-pregnant. Whether implantation is successful or not is not related to falls on the tummy.
