A member asked:

Is it safe to fly long distances (about 17 hours each way) while in early pregnancy (first trimester)? are there risks for the fetus?

Flying: fly happy--no risks. Airlines don't like you in your last trimester because it's difficult to birth babies on board and they have no nationality.

Travel while pregnan: Long travel like that puts you at higher risk for blood clots which are serious for you . That being said your child could be at risk if your health is at risk. I would weigh all your options first for this length of travel.
