Tendinitis : Immobilization for a month should resolve lie grade ankle sprains. You may have more serious ligamentous disruption that requires longer immobilization or surgery. I would get an MRI now, stay in boot until results. Obviously, there's always possibility that a fracture was missed, or there's post traumatic instability.
