A member asked:

Can eating too much sugar cause malabsorption (diarrhea, bulky stools, cramps)?if not, what else could cause it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many things: Is it diarrhea with watery stool or is it bulky, loose stool? Is it really malabsorption? Consider Pancreatic conditions, Lactose Intolerance, gluten sensitivity, thyroid, intestinal infections, sudden change to high fiber diet to name a few. Perhaps sugar substitute but not sugar.
