Thyroid cysts: A thyroid cyst/s can expand and enlarge quickly. Most likely, these are not new but just expanding. The ultrasound can tell you about the characteristics of the nodules and whether or not they have fluid components. If there is something solid in them, they need to be biopsied. If there are many and they are causing swallowing issues already, surgery might be an option.
