Need More Info: Menopause can sometimes be diagnosed by labs, but they are not perfect & it is defined as no period in 1 year in the CORRECT clinical setting. It is not unusual for someone your age to be in perimenopaise to have a some breakthrough bleeding while the hormones settle down. It would be odd for a first diagnosis of endometriosis at 48 & I would want to know what kind of scan and exact results.
