A member asked:

Can sugar cause depression in some people?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Fluctuations in blood-sugar levels can contribute to depression. Refined carbohydrates (i.e. White bread) and sugars should be avoided. Consuming these foods leads to a rapid spike in blood sugar and a quick burst of energy, followed by a fall in blood sugar and symptoms of fatigue and depression.
