A member asked:

After a bomb goes off nearby, how do you know if you need to go see an ear doctor for evaluation?

Deafness: A nuclear catastrophe is not imminent. The world is not going to end from radiation, heat waves, tornadoes, typhoons, lightening, floods, earthquakes, cold wave or any thing else like that. Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.

Get seen anyways: If a bomb goes off, the blast is truly loud, and you weren't wearing a hearing protection aid, you need to be evaluated and hearing test performed, not right away, if that's a common occurrence, due to a job for instance, you need to wear protective gear and have frequent follow up and hearing evaluation, wish you wellness
