A member asked:

I'm wondering why are cancer rates higher in developed industrial nations?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Varied Answers: Cancer rates appear to be higher for a couple of reasons. Detection and documentation is better in developed industrial nations. Also, patients are living longer so that they have the opportunity to get cancer. Finally, there is also increased exposure to toxins in the industrial nations which have the potential to be carcinogens.
