Watch for signs of: infection which are increasing redness,swelling,tenderness,pus.After initially thoroughly cleaning the wound,apply a clean dressing with something like Neosporin and a bandage.Keep the area clean and dry and change the dressing at least once daily.This is when you can inspect it for infection.If ANY above signs develop,go seek professional help from the very good healthcare system in Costa Rica.
