INFECTIOUS SOURCE: FUNGUS COULD BE HIDING IN THE HATS. DISCARD UNLWESS A WAY TO STERILIZE.

Cleaning: Getting the hats cleaned should be enough. The fungus is in the air anyway. Alternatively, if put the hats in a plastic bag and expose the bag to direct sunlight (would help if it were summer) the temperature in the bag will get high enough to kill the fungus.
