Varies too much: If there are no medical problems to prevent breastfeeding, then breastfeeding is the goal. In nature, a mother would not and does not know how much a breastfed baby is eating. A 5-wk old eats when he wants to. That's the way it should be for normal, growing babies. Only if there is a problem do we calculate DAILY feedings (amounts vary greatly!!).... around 100-120 mL per kg of current weight.
