Go to your MD: You need a full physical exam from a physician and possibly lab tests. If there could be a stricture or esophageal mass giving you a sensation your throat is blocked you would need a referral to a gastroenterologist who can put a camera into your esophagus to visualize it. You also need a neurological exam and potentially a swallow study. You may only have postnasal drip/mucous a full exam needed.
