Probably not: No matter how much you rinse your toothbrush you will always leave gems on it. If you want to really clean your toothbrush you can run it through the dishwasher or let it soak in a weak bleach solution for about 30 minutes. If you do that, make sure you rinse it well to get the bleach out.

Don't worry: Your toothbrush will gather more germs when in your mouth than sitting out. Rinse it off and set it upright in a cup or glass to dry. Change toothbrush every season, 4x/year, or after you've had a cold.
