Possibly: Functional gastrointestinal disorders comprise a group of disorders classified by their symptoms and the part of the GI tract affected. The cause of these disorders is unknown and there is no structural or biochemical cause that could explain the symptoms. Since the cause is unknown the symptoms cannot be cured, but can be controlled with medication. Psychiatric factors are involved. See comments*
