Why do my ribs hurt when i lay on them? doesn't hurt any other time. makes sleeping on them uncomfortable. causing me to get less sleep at night.

The lower ribs don't all connect in the front to create a joint along the breast bone, but rather attach to cartilage to complete the "cage".
