No: Crying is normal. Excessive crying is not normal. If the baby is less than 24 hours old and you are still in the hospital, please seek care from the nurses and doctors there since it's rare to discharge a baby before 24 hours of age. Ensure the baby is well fed and is warm. Have the baby examined by a qualified professional.
