Not directly: Acid reflux itself isn't a cause of cardiac rhythm abnormalities, but distension of the stomach, even from normal eating, can bring on extrasytoles or premature beats even in people with no structural heart disease. If you're bothered by frequent palpitations, your physician or cardiologist can order an outpatient monitor to evaluate your heart rhythm. Try elminating caffeine,alcohol and nicotine.
