A recent brain mri showed that i have cerebellar tonsillar ectopia but did not show a syrinx. is it possible that it could show on a different mri?

Possibly: A syrinx does not occur with all Chiari Malformations but regardless, a spinal MRI would be the best imaging to identify a syrinx.
