Mood changes: Nicotine has both stimulating and relaxing effects, and with cigarettes persons addicted are very good a titrating the amount of nicotine for desired effect. , however once addicted the main effect the nicotine gives a smoker is to relieve the craving and mild withdrawal state that happens in between cigarettes. The withdrawal state could include irratibilty, poor concentration, anxiety.
