I feel like my case has a few details that should be mentioned. but ultimately my question is: is it normal for someone to gain 100 lbs in 10 months?

No: Normal humans do not gain 100 pounds in 10 months. There is something special going on, and a big gainer like this can figure out the cause by working with her primary care provider. There is always a cause for such big gains.

100: Honestly no. A healthy person does not gain 100 pounds in 10 months unless it was intentional and even then it would considered an unhealthy gain.
