It could, but...: ...a lot depends on the details. Tenderness over the bladder or in that area during pelvic exam likely is due to UTI, but usually not tenderness in other areas, like one side or the other and in the region of ovaries and tubes. Chlamydia and gonorrhea can mimic UTI symptoms and cause non-bladder pelvic tenderness (if at risk for STD). Many other possiblities as well. Discuss with the doctor.
