A member asked:

I have a question about scabies. regardless of the effect to me/my skin and what i "should" do, will hot/boiling water kill the mites at all?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Easier way than that: You may not have scabies. It would be prudent to see a doctor for a proper diagnosis. There are topical as well oral medications that are far safer than trying to scald yourself with boiling water. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.
