Amenorrhea: Having no period for two or more consecutive months, warrants a work-up for secondary amenorrhea. Assuming you are not pregnant given that it has been almost a year since your last period, your clinician will rule out hypothyroidism, elevated prolactin, or premature ovarian failure as potential causes. Excessive weight loss, malnutrition, and physical stress are also potential causes. Take care
