A member asked:

I'm awful at swallowing pills, is it safe to grind them up and dissolve them in my water? specifically ambien and tylenol (acetaminophen).

Typically NO!: You're not unique! A check with your pharmacist may clarify which of your medicines come in, or can be compounded into, a liquid form to ease ingestion. Please don't take it upon yourself to alter the delivery system of your pills. Many medicines are packaged to maximize delivery of drug to the target organ. Exposing the drug to stomach acid may reduce or destroy effectiveness.
