Most likely reflux: Most likely cause is acid reflux even if there is no heartburn. Only 1/3 of people with reflux have heartburn. Consider avoiding caffeine, alcohol, acidic or spicy foods, smoking, eating less than 4 hrs before sleep, sleeping with the the head higher than the heart, and antacids. Could also be throat tumor so consider ENT evaluation if symptoms present longer then 2-3 weeks.
