i have got a sudden burning at the back of my throat it is really sore and hurts just doing nothing. what could it be?

Symptom control meas: Pain in throat is often due to virus infection like the common cold virus. It should settle down in 5-7 days. Take a couple of tylenol (acetaminophen) tablets as needed for pain relief.
