Ask again: Abbreviations are very confusing which is why so many people use them. A PFO is usually a very manageable problem, but I'm not clear on the ASA having much to do with ASA (a common abbreviation for aspirin). Your cardiologist should help clarify what you should be worried about. Best wishes.
