Soft stools: This is not necessarily related to your cycle as you have now are 7th day out from period. The lower cramping might be sign of infection or perhaps diverticulosis. If you do not have fever, blood in stool, see how the next week goes and if still loose and crampy, see M.D. Immodium probably ok if no fever.
