how long does it take for the swelling of the uvula take??? my throat doesn't hurt or anything but it is uncomfortable because of the swelling.. any otc meds or remedies that i can use to reduce swelling and irritation?

R/O UVULITIS: UVULITIS often occurs in the setting of tonsillitis The linguiar tonsils are underneath the tongue. You need an exam and throat culture and empirical antibiotics. if difficulty breathing or swallowing develops get evaluated promptly at the nearest ER, for IV antibiotics and steroids.
