White patches come and go on my uvula for 6 months now. sometimes with slight irritation. initially was with severe throat pain. what can it be?

Uvula: Many causes. Sometimes its dehydration, minor salivary gland inflammation, trauma ( hot or spicy foods) or uncommon things like autoimmune problems. See your doctor for a good check up with blood work. Try to see and ENT when you have the patches
