I'm currently on the mini pill. i just got a uti and dr put me on amoxicillin, will taking this decrease the effectiveness of the mini pill?

No: Typical antibiotics do not decrease the effectiveness of birth control pills. There already is a small risk of failure when using birth control pills, but amoxicillin does not increase that risk.
