Can't really tell: Lab results usually are numbers, and numbers are just numbers, with little meaning unless a doctor takes in the whole picture of what's going on with his patient. If the patient's blood white cell count is somewhat higher than the reference range, the ordering doctor may or may not consider the result a problem, depending on the patient's previous results, her symptoms, and her medications.
