Viral pharyngitis ?: If her sore throat were caused by Group A Streptococcus bacteria, a new spike in fever would be more alarming. If she did not have a + Rapid Strep Test or a + throat culture for "strep" before starting antibiotics, they won't be reliable now Many viruses cause pharyngitis that looks as bad as strep throat. She needs to see her Dr. if she was afebrile for 2-3 days, then spiked a fever.

10DaysCeclorForStrep: It is not unusual as you have to give Antibiotics for a total of 10 days for Strep infection to be cleared. You can give Tylenol (acetaminophen) for fever and continue Ceclor. But if fever persists consult your Pediatrician and get her rechecked. Is she being treated for confirmed Strep Infection by quick strep test.If not call your Pediatrician now.
