Varies: Strep is a bacterial infection and so a viral infection will be negative for strep. It is fairly common for patients with viral infections to get pains in their joints and muscles. It can be from toxins from the infection itself or even be as a result of the bodies immune response to the infection. Don't hesitate to discuss with your doctor.
