D/w yourPsychiatrist: Please discuss with your Psychiatrist. Most commonly prescribed sleep medications are Ambien, AmbienCR, Lunesta, Rozerem, Trazodone, Temazepam, Sonata, (zaleplon) etc. Rozerem has been approved for long term use. Regarding the side effects of antipsychotic medications, discuss with your Psychiatrist and do as he/she recommends.
