May irritate stomach: Korean red pepper is a common ingredient in kimchi, giving it a hot and spicy flavor. People with heartburn, or peptic ulcer, or a tendency for stomach acid to enter the food pipe may have an aggravation of their symptoms after eating pepper. I'm not aware of other health risks.
