Maybe: The fact Monistat helped leads to thinking this is a yeast infection. Many yeast infections are resistant to Monistat and may respond better to fluconazole. However, bacterial vaginosis is more common and will not respond to yeast medications in the long run. If recurrent, have your vaginal pH tested and possibly get cultured.
