Stuffy ear: Must have cold with swelling of Eustacian tube. Recommend hot steamy shower, and heating pad over nose and forehead at night. Some decongestants may help.

Plugged ears: This is often from congestion in the nose often from a cold or allergies. If it is from a cold, one may try an OTC nasal decongestant spray for up to 5 days (and no more). If from allergies, one may try an OTC nasal spray for as long as you need. If problem persists, see doctor.
