No: Problems can arise in an Rh + mother carrying an Rh- baby if their blood mixes during pregnancy. In that situation, Rhogam is used at 28 weeks or during any pregnancy related bleeding to avoid an immune reaction in the unborn child.

NO: Blood types are no longer a "problem" ..the proper treatment by your OB provider will eliminate problems with FUTURE pregnancies by modifying your immune responses to an RH positive pregnancy! Good Luck and I hope this helps!\ Dr Z
