No and Yes: Use of the topical form of minoxidil for hair loss (alopecia androgenita) is NOT associated with sterility or infertility. Hair growth typically resulting from use of minoxidil usually does recede after discontinuing its use. Minoxidil should only be used for specific hair loss patterns. See your physican to make sure you don't have other underlying and potentially treatable causes of hair loss.
